i took the time to walk the mile
down tree lined roads with snow laden branches
to see the breauty in the darkened skies
to know that it is life and not a movie
that the cocoa in a dove heart is worth a bit more
when you take the time to let it melt in your mouth
that they may not cure a sinus infection
but brownies are chicken soup for any soul
spring always comes after a cold dark winter
and warmth thaws the water of all the falls
so walk with me down tree lined roads
take the time to walk the snowy mile
there is beauty in the darkened skies
and there are brighter days in your eyes
