wading - part i

slate gray
like river rock
sharp around the edge
but smooth on the feet
hills and valleys
of lush green forest
inviting to explore
like somewere
nestled among
the trees and leaves
is a fountain
a spring
bringing forth
clean wet refreshing
there are cliffs
there are valleys
there are prices to pay
i am not going to
have my way
unless im willing to play
free and clear of all ties
all fears and guilt
tear down the walls
that so many have built
but its really just me
who builds all the walls
and now it is time for
all of them to fall
and in the end
i wouldn't mind
wading in your water
walking along your
river bed
